  • Research Interests: Congenital Hand Anomalies, Genetics of Congenital Hand Anomalies, Association between Fanconi Anemia & Congenital Hand Anomalies
     
  • 2004-2009 Project Director: Microsurgical Reconstruction of Large Scalp Defects A retrospective review of the management and reconstruction of large scalp defects secondary to a variety of etiologies using free tissue transfer, to discuss the advantages of free tissue transfer as the primary reconstructive modality.
     
  • 2008-2009 Co-PI: Management and Outcome of Pediatric Pressure Sores A retrospective review of the use of free tissue transfer in pediatric pressure ulcers to determine the incidence and risk factors for post-operative ulcer recurrence.
     
  • 2008-2009 Investigator: Atypical Spitz Nevus A retrospective review of Spitz nevi in the pediatric population to determine an appropriate treatment algorithm and the incidence of skin malignancy in this population.
     
  • 2008-2009 PI: Surgical Outcomes in Adolescent Patients with Breast Disorders The major goal of this project is to retrospectively review adolescent patients with benign breast disorders and their surgical outcomes.
     
  • 2008-enrollment completion PI: Adolescent Breast Clinic Registry and Psychosocial Outcomes of Multidisciplinary Treatment for Adolescent Breast Disorders The major goal of this project to evaluate the psychosocial and physical impact of benign breast disorders in adolescents as well as to prospectively study the outcomes of surgical and non-surgical intervention for these conditions.
     
  • 2008-2009 PI Incidence of Fanconi Anemia Among Children with Thumb and Radial Deficiencies This project retrospectively reviews patients with a congenital thumb and/or radial deficiency and identifies the incidence of the bone marrow failure syndrome Fanconi anemia in those that were tested.
